Video Blog around Devon: Chagford – Crocus and Snowdrops
St. Michael’s – Chagford
Known for it’s display of crocus and snowdrops at this time of year. As are many other church yards around Devon. Have you every wondered how many varieties of snowdrops there are around in our churchyards? There are more than 500 different varieties in the UK! This month as it’s been quite mild, I’ve noticed bees buzzing around them collecting nectar and pollen to make into honey while they are cross pollenating. Looking across the churchyard it’s a joy to see the crocuses and snowdrops dancing around in the soft breeze. This is what I get up to in my spare time, looking at all the wonderful sights in and around Devon. We are so lucky to be surrounded by all this natural beauty. Take some time out to find your own places of natural beauty this weekend.
